Abstract

Congenital anomaly of the development of the hearing organ is a very serious pathology, as it can be accompanied by impaired auditory function, which leads to speech impairment and disability of the patient. The purpose of the review is to study different views on the diagnosis of anomalies of the external and middle ear. The review materials include publications over the past 10 years devoted to the problem of developmental anomalies of the external and middle ear. The review showed that if congenital anomalies are suspected, a CT scan of the temporal bone should be performed.
